Resistance

Have you ever tried to move forward on a personal goal and found that you were met with a lot of resistance? An example would be, you have just decided to take better care of your health and to eat better. You are excited and motivated! Then you enter your work place and someone offers you a donut. Better yet, Susie has a Birthday and shares some cake. If you are unarmed with a response you eat the donut and then later you have some cake. Before long you decide I’ll start tomorrow.

 Resistance comes in many forms. Last week I decided that I would walk everyday outdoors and just enjoy what God gives us naturally, Mother Nature. Then it rained all week! But I had a contingency plan. I would do a home video or go to the gym if the weather was not on my side.

Resistance can be someone or something that is opposing what you know that you need for yourself right now. I encourage you to embrace resistance because the more we push past the opposition the stronger we become. Resistance is a tool that allows us to know we are on the right track.
