8 Powerful Strategies to Jump Start your Morning!

Morning Routine photoImagine how different your life would be if you had a morning routine that ensured a good day. Does your morning routine consist of staying in bed as late as possible while barely making it to work on time?If you’re like most people, your morning is probably rushed or busy before you even hit the floor. This can lead to unhealthy behavior such as yelling at the kids, kicking the family dog, eating an unhealthy snack or skipping breakfast all together.Having a wonderful morning and an impactful day just takes a few adjustments to your mindset and routine. Long lasting results requires a shift in your patterns.  So let’s jump in!

Here are a few simple ideas to implement so you can have productive and peaceful mornings:

1.Wake up earlier.  You’ll need some extra time in the morning to accommodate your mindful changes. Going to bed earlier makes this task easier. Set your alarm for an half an hour earlier each morning until you build up to an hour or ninety minute.

2.Visualize and Imagine good things. Right before you get out of bed. Begin to imagine how well your day will go. Visualize yourself being productive, happy and peaceful. Take some time to thank God for this new day that you will embark on.

3. Meditate . Take 10 minutes to practice meditation. Meditation brings awareness, focus and it allows us to get direct spiritual downloads. This will allow your day to have a peaceful glow to it.

4. Enjoy a little exercise. Take a walk, jump on the treadmill, or dance to some beautiful music. Focus on positive thoughts and get your body moving.

5.Shower on Affirmations. While taking your morning shower repeat affirmations to yourself. Use this time to shower yourself with positive thoughts and energy. Affirmations can truly transform your thinking and your life.  

6.Eat a nutritious breakfast.  Having a green smoothie, vegetable omelet or oatmeal with fruit will get you off to a great start. It is amazing how we feel when we take care of ourselves. Soon you will notice that you make better eating choices throughout the day. During your meal, take time to be mindful of the flavors, colors, smells and texture of your food. This practice of being mindful will add to your eating experience.

 7. Drink a glass of water. Keep water by your bed and in your car. Drinking water the first thing in the morning compels your body to function at its optimal best.  Drinking water keeps your body and mind hydrated. Yes your brain needs water to function at its optimal best. So drink up.

8.Write out your Agenda for the day. Be sure take a few minutes to write and review your agenda for the day. Writing a list of priorities will assist you in making good decisions with your time throughout the day. Placing the most difficult task at the top of your list will help you to prioritize your daily tasks.  Having a daily agenda will empower you to be more productive each day.

Now you’re ready to get out there and accomplish something. How could you not be successful? The keys are to practice meditation, eat healthy and to have an agenda each day.
